Big Bear Cares

Community outreach from the Big Bear Roofing team.

“The more we grow, the more we give.”

At Big Bear Roofing, giving back isn’t a side project — it’s the reason we work as hard as we do. Our growth funds build days, sponsorships, and helping hands across the Lowcountry and the Triangle.

Partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County

Some roofs we get paid for. These are the ones we don’t.

Big Bear Roofing is a GAF-Habitat for Humanity Impact Partner. Through the GAF Community Matters program, GAF and QXO supply the roofing materials, and Big Bear donates the skilled labor and project management. Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County brings the families, the volunteers, and the repair crews that turn a new roof into a safe home.

In 2026 that partnership has put new roofs and critical repairs on three Berkeley County homes — in Huger, Cross, and Goose Creek. It’s the same craftsmanship we bring to every paid job, pointed at the place it matters most.

The crews were on site September 16, and the family’s hope for the new den is to host Christmas there this year. Read Berkeley Habitat’s story →

July 2026 — Cross: Vietnam veteran Richard Lee

Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County partnered with Big Bear Roofing, Hope Repair, GAF, and QXO to complete critical structural repairs and install a new roof, helping Richard remain safely in the home he loves.
