About Big Bear Roofing & Exteriors

Our Mission

At Big Bear Roofing, we exist to serve at a higher level—delivering top-quality roofing while using our growth as a vehicle to give back. The more we grow, the more we give—strengthening the communities we call home through service, generosity, and unmatched craftsmanship.

“The more we grow, the more we give.”

Who We Are

Big Bear Roofing & Exteriors is a locally owned GAF Master Elite® roofing contractor headquartered in North Charleston, South Carolina. We serve three markets: Charleston and the South Carolina Lowcountry, Raleigh and the North Carolina Triangle, and Greensboro and the Triad. Our North Carolina operation is based in Raleigh.

We replace, repair and storm-restore residential and commercial roofs, including shingle roofs, metal roofs and commercial flat roofs. Roof inspections are free and come with no obligation.

The roof is only half the story. The other half is the people who show up: the estimator who walks your roof, the crew that installs it and the office team that picks up the phone.

Credentials: GAF Master Elite® Contractor · South Carolina General Contractor License CLG.119949 (Roofing classification) · BBB Accredited

Big Bear Cares

Big Bear Roofing is a GAF-Habitat for Humanity Impact Partner. Through the GAF Community Matters program, GAF and QXO supply the roofing materials, and Big Bear donates the skilled labor and project management.

In 2026 that partnership has put new roofs and critical repairs on three Berkeley County homes with Habitat for Humanity of Berkeley County, in Huger, Cross and Goose Creek. In Raleigh, Big Bear provided the skilled labor and project management for a roof replacement on a Southeast Raleigh home through Habitat for Humanity Greater Raleigh’s Home Preservation program, with GAF donating the roofing materials (read Habitat Greater Raleigh’s story).
